Lockport Township Park District Day Camps are part of the broader recreation programs offered by the Lockport Township Park District. The camps are connected to a park district that also offers facilities such as a full sized gymnasium, disc golf, fitness facilities, and aquatic amenities through its various sites and programs.

Created in 1945, the Lockport Township Park District provides park areas and recreation programs in order to enrich the quality of life of the community. The Park District hosts special events and holiday celebrations throughout the year inviting the community to participate in concerts, art and flower shows, golf outings, pool parties, and events for almost every holiday listed on the calendar as well as some extra unique offerings. The leadership team connected to these programs includes Sarah Hamilton, Recreation Supervisor; Heather Kuncis, Preschool Coordinator; and Patrick Maier, Commissioner of the Lockport Township Park District. The District has received COA and PAFR Awards for Excellence in Financial Reporting issued by the GFOA. The Park District’s facilities include The Canyons disc golf course at Dellwood Park, which was rated #1 in Illinois by UDisc.com and #5 in the world; Challenge Fitness, which is the only fitness facility in Lockport that has seven indoor tennis courts, an indoor pool, two steam rooms, and a whirlpool; Chaney Pool, which has a zero-depth entry pool with a deep-end, diving board, and water slide; and Heritage Falls Water Park, which has a splash pad and a pool with a deep-end, two diving boards, and two water slides.
