Wings Dance Studio

Wings Dance Studio offers Move and Groove, Dance Combo, Intro to Dance, Ballet, Cecchetti, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Soar Dance Company, Dance360, and Musical Theater. Classes include children’s movement and listening skills in Move and Groove, ballet and tap basics in Dance Combo, beginning jazz and Hip Hop in Intro to Dance, ballet training, and cross-training conditioning for dancers in Dance360.

Programs

• Move and Groove — children · Uses children’s natural delight in music and movement to begin teaching listening skills. Comfortable clothes and clean gym shoes or ballet shoes required.
• Dance Combo — Level 1 is for 3-4 year olds; Level 2 is for 4-5 year olds; Kindergarten Combo is considered Level 3 · Children begin to learn the basics of ballet and tap in a fun but structured environment. Dancewear and black tap and pink leather ballet shoes required.
• Intro to Dance — ages 5-7 · Teaches beginning jazz and Hip Hop skills. Leotards, dancewear and tan jazz shoes required.
• Ballet — Level 1 is for ages 5-7; Level 2 is ages 7-10; Teen Ballet is 6th grade and up
• Cecchetti — A methodology of teaching ballet. Cecchetti classes are by invitation only. Summer classes are required for those preparing for exams.
• Jazz — Level 1A, 1B, 2, and Beginning Jazz 10+ · Level 1A, 1B, 2, and Beginning Jazz 10+ meet once a week for one hour. Level 3 and above require instructor consent.
• Contemporary — Utilizes Modern and Ballet technique as well as improvisation techniques. Dancers must be enrolled in Ballet to take Contemporary.
• Lyrical — Uses ballet and jazz technique to create emotional choreography. Dancers must have had at least one year of ballet and be currently enrolled in a ballet class.
• Hip Hop — dancers younger than 10 will enjoy Intro to Hip Hop · Helps develop musicality, isolations, and free style movement. All music and movement will maintain appropriate choices for children.
• Soar Dance Company — Our resident performance company.
• Dance360 — A cross training conditioning program built specifically for dancers, by dancers to improve skills and technique across all genres of dance.
• Musical Theater — Focuses on different styles and shows in Musical Theater. Dancers must also be enrolled in Jazz to take Musical Theater.
