AlphaBet Soup Productions presents theatrical experiences through engaging musicals for young audiences. The program features larger-than-life characters, whimsical costumes, sing-along songs, and stories that always include an underlying moral. Its zany creations have been enjoyed by over 1 million children, parents, and educators throughout the Chicagoland area.
• Ages: 3–12 years old
• Price: Groups of 25 or more pay only $11 per ticket. One free ticket for every 25 purchased. Summer shows are $12.00 for all seats.
AlphaBet Soup Productions has been Theatre for Young Audiences since 1987 and is described as Chicagoland’s premiere Theatre for Young Audiences. The ABS mission is to provide Chicago area youth, families, and teachers a truly unique theatrical experience that will entertain, educate, and inspire. AlphaBet Soup Productions has received the Illinois Theatre Association Award of Excellence in Theatre for Young Audiences and two National Children's Theatre Awards for the scripts Beauty & the Beast and The Jungle Book. The Chicago Tribune states, “Educators, Parents, and Media Members all agree... AlphaBet Soup is a real find!” Alexandra Billings, ABS alumni from Broadway's WICKED, says, “Their hilarious way of bringing comedy and art into the arms of young audiences all over Chicago is unparalleled.” A preschool in Minooka, Illinois, reports attending ABS Productions for 35 years and loving every performance, and other parents and teachers describe the productions as fabulous, first rate, and fantastic for kids in their area.
