Metamora-Germantown Hills Junior Football League (MGH JFL) offers youth tackle football, flag football, cheer, and a JFL Football Camp. The program uses top of the line protective equipment that is inspected and certified every year, and new equipment is purchased as necessary. The league sets playing time guidelines for participants, and MGH JFL uses the motto “We ARE Red-BIRDS!! Believe Inspire Respect Discipline Sportsmanship.”

The stated goal of Metamora-Germantown Hills Junior Football League (MGH JFL) is to develop and promote the ideals of responsibility, hard work, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fellowship within a positive environment. According to its mission statement, the program focuses on the spirit of competition, discipline, and fair play, and follows a structured program intended to educate and inspire both participants and parents in all aspects of the game of football. MGH JFL states that it is committed to maintaining the highest standards, with safety identified as its number one priority. All coaches are certified “Heads Up” by USA Football. All teams participate in the MTHS Homecoming Parade, and flag and tackle teams scrimmage at halftime of a sophomore football game supported by cheerleading.
