Academy for the Performing Arts offers dance instruction in ballet, jazz, and tap. Classes take place in the Academy for the Performing Arts dance studios, which families can see through a Virtual Tour of the Dance Studios.

For over 32 years, the Academy for the Performing Arts has been a Quad City area leader in dance education and has earned a reputation for inspiring young people in the Quad Cities to be the best dancers they can be. The program is inclusive of every student, whether at the recreational or intensive level, and relies on a positive atmosphere for faculty, participants, and their parents, with an emphasis on teamwork, dedication, and commitment through dance education. Its teaching philosophy is centered on instilling a passion for dance while building self-esteem and confidence in every child, with the goal of educating the minds, bodies, and souls of students and teaching them skills needed for a successful life, whether or not they stay involved in dance. Leadership includes Ms. Tammy as a teacher. The Academy uses the phrase, “Bring us your feet…we’ll give you wings.”
