Rainbow Council Day Camp

Rainbow Council Day Camp offers day camp activities that include STEM, Water Sports, Shooting Sports, Games, and Crafts. The camp is a full-day program with no overnight stays. The program also includes Lions Camp, a special separate day camp event for Lion scouts.

Programs

• Day Camp — Rising Kindergarten-5th graders; open to all youth entering 1st through 5th grade in the fall. FAQ also says open to all youth entering 2nd to 5th grade in the fall, with a special separate event for Kindergarten or 1st grade. · Activities include STEM, Water Sports, Shooting Sports, Games, and Crafts. Full-day camp without overnight stays.
• Lions Camp — Rising Kindergarten · Special separate day camp event for Lion scouts.
• Cub Scouts — Ages 5-10; grades K-5 · Year-round program for all youth ages 5-10 and their families.
• Scouts BSA Summer Camp — Ages 10-18; grades 6-12 · Week-long scouting experiences.
• Webelos | Arrow of Light Resident Camp — Grades 4-5 · 4 days, 3 nights of activities and open programming.
• Cub Scout Resident Camp — Grades 1-3 · Designed to meet the needs of families and Dens.

• General schedule: Day Camp is full day and has no overnight stays. Day Camp weeks are 9AM-3PM for Week 1 and Week 2, and 3PM-8PM for Week 3. Lions Camp is 9AM-3PM for the Bolingbrook and Homer Glen dates, and 3PM-8PM for the RSR date.

About the provider

Day Camp camp directors are certified through the National Camping School. The program is powered by volunteers, and parents and volunteers are highly recommended to volunteer for at least one day as a Staff Member or two days as a Day Walker. The mission is to provide character development, citizenship training, and growth in physical, mental and spiritual fitness, to help create the next generation of leaders.

Day Camp is a full day of fun activities without any overnight stays. Day Camp uses safe, age appropriate, planned adventures and follows a 2-deep leadership standard. Summer camp has 2-deep leadership standard and asks parents/guardians to complete Safeguarding Youth Training.
