Village of Mt. Zion Parks and Recreation Programs offers activities throughout the year, including a local festival for all ages and an athletic camp for school age children. The program also includes events such as the 2026 Crafter's Paradise, February, March, and April Crafter's Paradise 2026, the Spring Craft Show, and the Spectral Scenery Contest. Seasonal activities include the 2025 Holiday Coloring Contests (Gingerbread, Nutcracker, Snowman, and a general 2025 Holiday Color Contest), 2025 Letters to Santa, and 2025 Winter Tennis at Fletcher Park.

Meals on Wheels - Volunteer Opportunities are available through the program, and Meals on Wheels is currently recruiting volunteers to deliver meals to older adults in Decatur and Mt. Zion. Volunteer opportunities are also offered for local seniors. The department is led by Tiffany Wilson, Director of Parks & Recreation.
