Huntoon Stables

Huntoon Stables offers Summer Camps, Youth Activities, a Scout Program, and Riding Lessons. The Scout Program is a 2-hour session held on select Saturdays from 4:00-6:00 pm, with two rides around the indoor arena for each Scout. Riding Lessons are for new riders between ages 8 and 14 and include personalized riding instruction with several lesson packages listed.

About the provider

Huntoon Stables has provided riding instruction, youth activities, competition, and training in the Fox River Valley continuously since 1932. The leadership team includes Carleton Huntoon, Owner/Business Manager; Melinda Huntoon, Owner/Instructor; and Christopher Huntoon, Instructor/trainer. It is an official approved stable with the Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois and Girls Scouts of Greater Chicago and North West Indiana.

Events are designated for current riders and new riders. The Scout Program is held only on select Saturdays. The stable limits the overall size of the Scout Program to 35-40 riders. Leaders are not allowed to ride in the Scout Program.
