Countryside Day School offers summer camp programs for toddlers, Pre-K/Kindergarten, and elementary students as part of a continuous program from 16 months through 6th grade, with an all-year program option for Pre-K/Kindergarten and elementary school. The camp uses mixed age classrooms, a rigorous, personalized, student-paced curriculum, and the CDS teaching model and school culture that weave development of character into all that the students do. Each program is led by Countryside staff teachers, and the faculty includes internationally recognized, innovative teachers who combine strong teaching skills with specialty expertise. The campus includes expansive indoor and outdoor spaces and an environment with unique learning materials, tools, and opportunities to learn by doing.

Countryside Day School places equal value on the development of character and the acquisition of academic knowledge, helps students achieve their academic potential while instilling qualities of respect, responsibility and resourcefulness, and brings real world experience into the classroom to foster independence, perseverance and collaboration. The school inspires and prepares students to think and do for themselves, discover their own path to success, and learn the value of contributing to their community as they transition from children, to adolescents, to adults. Countryside Day School has open enrollment, and families can apply for admission any time of year, and the school is proud to serve families in the Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview, Highland Park, Highwood, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Northbrook, Northfield, Riverwoods, Wilmette, and Winnetka area. One parent shared, “There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of Countryside and feel grateful that my children were able to experience what a school should be.”
