Oak Forest Park District Dance Classes offers Tiny Twirls-Grown Up & Me, where little ones and their parent or guardian explore music, movement, and social connection. It also offers Dance Fusion 1 and Dance Fusion 2, which blend ballet, jazz, hip hop, and more through music, movement, imaginative activities, and fun combinations. Other classes include Technical Foundations for flexibility, technique, and power; Lyrical Flow; Jazz Stars; Hip Hop; and Poms.

  • Little Bitty Dancers — 5-6yrs · Introduces young dancers to ballet and jazz through imaginative movement, music, and play.
  • Lyrical Flow — 7+yrs · Blends ballet technique with expressive jazz movements.
  • Mini Jazz Stars — 5-6yrs · High-energy introduction to jazz dance with upbeat music and confidence-building fun.
  • Jazz Stars — 7+yrs · Upbeat jazz class with sharp technique, strong musicality, and confident performance style.
  • Kids Bop — 5-6yrs · Fun introduction to hip hop with easy, upbeat moves.
  • Hip Hop — 7+yrs · High energy class focused on rhythm, style, and fresh choreography.

About the provider

The program’s mission is to inspire confident, respectful athletes through safe and fun gymnastics, cheer, and dance programs, while fostering fitness, teamwork, and a love of movement, and giving parents peace of mind. The Program Coordinator is Destiny Skelnik.

Non-recital classes are for children who would like to learn the art of dance but do not want to participate in the yearly recital. This includes all summer classes and a few fall and winter classes. Arrival: Children should arrive 5 minutes before class start time. Families are to remain in the waiting area until the instructor opens the door for students. Attire: Children may wear whatever they are comfortable in. Long hair needs to be pulled off of their face and no jewelry.
