The district is a municipal governing agency led by a Board of Commissioners made up of five elected officials, each serving six-year terms. Leadership for parks and recreation includes Kirstin Dahm as Director of Parks & Recreation, with Cindy Grannan listed as a previous Director and Michelle listed as a Manager. The district’s Comprehensive Master Plan incorporates input from residents, park patrons, the Park District Board of Commissioners, and Park District staff, and community events such as the Old Times Family Picnic include food trucks, kids’ games, face painters, a balloon artist, live music, bingo, and more.
