Storm Dance Alliance offers instructional classes in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Children’s Dance Classes, and Musical Theater. The program also includes competition companies, holiday and seasonal productions, music lessons, an annual Nutcracker Ballet, and a Holiday Charity Showcase.

Storm Dance Alliance was opened in 2003 by Brook and Tim Langkan. Brook Langkan is described as a lifelong dancer and educator, and Tim Langkan is described as a business operations expert. For over 20 years, Storm Dance Alliance has been bringing dance to the greater Illinois area.
The program’s mission is to provide a prestigious and cutting edge dance education in a positive yet challenging environment. Storm Dance Alliance offers Academy and Company programs, including two levels of competitive programs for competitive and pre-professional dancers. The studio has competition companies and is described as having a warm, family feeling and a second home environment for students.
Storm Dance Alliance has award winning instructors, award-winning choreographers, and industry leading instructors. The studio was voted a top 10 studio in the northwest and a top 10 studio in the midwest. In 2010, Storm Dance Alliance won the Federation of Dance Competition’s Studio Excellence Award, and in 2011 it finished in the top 25 studios in the Midwest, bringing home 7 national championships. Storm Dance Alliance has won countless top studio awards and national titles.
Storm Dance Alliance presents an annual Nutcracker Ballet with over 200 dancers in the cast each season and utilizes the talents of Storm and community dancers in this production. Brook Langkan created the Holiday Charity Showcase, which benefits local families each Christmas Season.
