Adagio School of Performing Arts

Adagio School of Performing Arts offers daily dance classes in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Musical Theater, Creative Movement, Adult Cardio Pop, and Adult Barre Blast. Additional classes include Barre, Pound, Pk Combo, Stretch Leaps & Turns, Acrobat, and Pointe. The program also includes opportunities for students to attend workshops and choreography classes with professional artists from around the country.

Adagio staff members have earned college level degrees and training in dance performance and teaching. The program’s mission states that it focuses on the consistent progression of students’ technique and self-esteem through instruction and students’ drive and commitment to dance, with an emphasis on each individual’s growth as a dancer and as a person, encouraging hard work, improvement, self-discipline, respect for others, and respect for the art of dance. Adagio’s curriculum for each genre of dance is organized so that students progress through a leveled program. The program has been recognized with the ADCC Studio of Excellence 2022. Students have the option to perform in Adagio’s annual Summer Dance Festival and/or travel with its award-winning competition team. The program states that its goal for events is for dancers to experience the fun and excitement of performing, with a celebration of their progress, hard work, and talent, aiming for low stress and high energy. Adagio has invested in a high quality dance facility with four studio rooms that have marley-covered sprung floors and air conditioning.
