• Schedule: Summer Camp runs May 27 – August 13, 2025, with SPORTSZONE CAMP for ages 8–12 meeting Monday–Friday from 8:00am–4:00pm and RIVERCITY DAY CAMP for ages 5–12 meeting Monday–Friday from 7:00am–5:00pm; outdoor swimming is scheduled daily from 10:00am–11:00am.
• Price: SPORTSZONE CAMP (8–12 years old) and RIVERCITY DAY CAMP (5–12 years old) are each $260 per week with a $65 daily drop-in fee and a $25 per child non-refundable registration fee.
Summer Camp at The Clubs at River City is for children ages 5–12, and lunch and snack are provided. Children are asked to arrive in a swimsuit each day with clothes over the top and to bring a towel, sunscreen, tennis shoes, extra clothes, and a water bottle, with closed-toed shoes required for activities. The program asks that children not bring toys, video games, make-up, trading cards, cell phones, or other valuables, and states that all children are expected to participate in all activities. The Clubs at River City notes over 5,200 satisfied customers and more than 50 years of operation, and the organization remains family-run after fifty years under the leadership of Lee O’Connell and his family. Lee O’Connell first became known in Peoria as a guard for the Bradley University Braves in the 1954 NCAA Tournament, and he later pioneered Peoria’s inaugural senior-fitness classes and the nation’s first stand-alone youth training center while also partnering with local hospitals to launch cardiac-rehab and physical-therapy programs and hosting charity races and St. Jude tennis classics.
