Soccer Shots offers three core programs to meet the developmental needs of children ages 18 months to 8 years old: Mini (Toddler), Classic (Preschool), and Premier (School Age). The Mini (Toddler) program for ages 18 months to 3 years old introduces children to fundamental soccer principles such as using their feet, dribbling, and basic rules of the game through songs, fun games, and positive reinforcement. The Classic (Preschool) program for ages 3–5 years old focuses on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting and highlights a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation. The Premier (School Age) program for ages 5–8 years old uses a curriculum specifically designed for school-aged children that builds on skills and introduces competitive play, with opportunities to be challenged through fun games and team competitions.
Soccer Shots programs are created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches, and the curriculum is constantly re-evaluated and updated to stay current with childhood education standards. Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program taught by fully trained coaches, and every coach must complete a comprehensive training program to receive certification. All coaches are trained in the use of developmentally appropriate techniques, are routinely evaluated, and undergo ongoing training.
Soccer Shots states that its mission as the premier Children’s Soccer Experience is to positively impact children’s lives and aims to build character, skills, and confidence while also having fun. The organization is committed to providing safe, positive experiences through the game of soccer and positions itself as a best-in-class children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. Soccer Shots is described as the most trusted and engaging children’s soccer program for ages 18 months to 8 years old and is recognized as the #1 soccer program for kids in the United States and Canada.
Soccer Shots programs are nationally advertised as serving ages 18 months–8 years old and are consistently recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as the #1 Children’s Fitness Franchise in the U.S. In 2023, there were over 560,000 enrollments in Soccer Shots programming. Soccer Shots is offered in over 43 states and two provinces across the U.S. and Canada and partners with local childcare centers, preschools, elementary schools, and many other organizations to bring soccer to more children across North America. Through partnerships with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Nike, and other organizations, Soccer Shots aims to impact children and communities across the U.S. and the world.
Parents have shared that Soccer Shots is “a great program and super instructors” and that “the coaches are amazing, so patient and sweet,” noting that coaches take time to include every child and work with their strengths and weaknesses. One parent reported that coaches remembered the kids’ names and did an excellent job getting all of the kids to participate, and another said they have already recommended the program to several friends. A parent from Kalamazoo, Michigan, described watching a child move from Mini to Classic and learning soccer skills, taking turns, independence, and how to cheer for others. Parents from Phoenix, Dallas, and San Diego have commented on looking forward to new seasons, seeing growth in their children, and appreciating how organized the program is and how well it keeps kids engaged.
