Riverside Parks & Recreation Summer Camp includes fun and age appropriate games, themed activities each day, and activities in sports, art, nature, and fitness. Time will likely be spent both outdoors and indoors each day at each camp. Riverside Parks & Recreation is back for another summer of fun.
• Ages: 3–15 years old
• Schedule: Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. on specific February dates for different groups, with extended office hours from 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. on those days and regular office hours Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Price: A $15 deposit per week per child is required.
Options are available for children from 3 years old through 9th grade. Engaging opportunities are offered for children to interact with other children their age. Parent Information Night will be held prior to the first week of Summer Camp, likely sometime in May.
On Tuesday, February 4, all returning campers will be able to register. On Thursday, February 6, all Riverside residents with new campers will be able to register. On Tuesday, February 11, all non-resident new campers will be able to register. On each of these days, registration will open to the corresponding group at 7:30 a.m.
The Riverside Parks & Recreation Department Day Camps are designed to keep campers active, entertained, and socially involved through a variety of activities within a safe and supervised camp setting. All activities are planned with goals that include encouraging children to be social and boosting their self-confidence within group settings, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect with fellow campers and camp leaders, providing a positive and sound environment in which children can learn and play, and developing skills and knowledge through activities involving sports, art, nature, and fitness.
