Christian Arts Camp is a week-long experience held each summer that focuses on visual arts and performance arts. The program aims to nurture children in using their creative talents to praise God and to share His Word through the arts. Students have the opportunity to explore various visual and performance arts in classes led by dedicated instructors, all while learning and growing in Jesus' love.

John Schmid serves as the Christian Arts Institute Director for Christian Arts Camp. He comes to the Mount Olive Christian Arts Institute after serving Rockford Lutheran Schools for 17 years as a band and music teacher. His background in music includes classroom teaching, private lessons, and performance. He is a graduate of Concordia University, Nebraska, and holds a master's degree in music education from Baylor University. The camp is located next door to Edgebrook Shopping Center and is minutes from Rockford Lutheran Academy, Brookview Elementary, Spring Creek Elementary, Rockford Lutheran Junior + Senior High, and Guilford High School.
