• Schedule: The office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Price: A fee of $25.00 will be assessed on all checks that are returned from the bank due to insufficient funds.

The Sandwich Park District was established in 1966. The Park District office is located in the David A. Francis Center in Knights Park, and additional program-related areas include the Dog Park, Harvey Creek, Knights Park, and the David A. Francis Center lobby. Cash, checks, and Visa, MasterCard, or Discover are accepted for walk-in registration, and payment must be included with mail-in registration, with checks made payable to the Sandwich Park District and credit card information included on the registration form when paying by card.

The Executive Director of the Sandwich Park District is Bill Novicki, CPRP. The Sandwich Park Foundation Board includes President Bill Clemons, Vice-President Steve Wolf, Secretary/Treasurer Shaun Legge, and members Dan Hoyt, Todd Latham, John Fincham, Theresa Jourdan, Brad Knepper, Eric Terlep, and Melissa Walsh. The Sandwich Park Foundation is a local, independent 501 (c)(3) nonprofit foundation authorized to accept tax deductible gifts, and all donations to the Sandwich Park Foundation, including property, cash, or park-related items, are tax deductible.

The Sandwich Park Foundation was formed to assist the Sandwich Park District in funding projects and programs that the Sandwich Park District cannot financially accomplish through its taxing dollars. Together, the Sandwich Park Foundation and the Sandwich Park District give the Sandwich community more opportunities to enjoy parks and recreation, which in turn helps promote new skills, wellness, social interaction, and conservation, and the stated goal is to raise money for the Sandwich Park Foundation to continue to assist the Sandwich Park District in its vision for better recreational programs and facilities.

Volunteers are described as essential to the success of many programs, special events, and parks, and the volunteer program enables the Park District to offer a high level of quality programming while minimizing staff costs. A Memorial Tree Donations program offers tree plantings in spring and fall that are monitored and professionally maintained by Park District staff, with donor name tags placed on a donation plaque in the David A. Francis Center lobby.

A Family Discount for sports leagues states that the third child or more in a household receives 50% off regular price for selected sports leagues when children are all registered for the same activity. Sandwich Park District residency is determined as residing within the Sandwich Park District taxing boundaries, established in 1966 to include only the City Limits of Sandwich, and anyone living outside these boundaries, such as Lake Holiday, Wildwood, Hidden Oaks, and rural route addresses, is termed out-of-district and will pay a slightly higher fee for programs.

A testimonial associated with the programs states, “Children need the freedom and time to play. Play is not a luxury. Play is a necessity.”
