Camp Commotion is a day camp that offers over 20 different weekly activity options called “crews,” with each child choosing one crew to participate in each week. Depending on the crew, campers may do arts and crafts projects, use 3D pens, K’NEX, and Legos, construct projects using wood and glue, learn basics of cheerleading and perform cheer routines, play wacky high-energy and team sports such as basketball and soccer, and take part in physical education games including creating a day of PE activities for small groups. Other crews include preparing, grilling, and serving food and sampling their creations; spa treatments, special crafts, pajama days, live action board games, apps-based games, and game show-style activities; assembling tents, outdoor exploration, epic hunts, laser tag, and water activities such as relay races and a dunk tank; making a short movie with acting and learning about cinema; science experiments that involve making messes and testing experiments; themed activities such as wild west, space, and superhero costumes and superhero-themed activities; and mystery-style activities that involve collecting evidence, analyzing clues, cracking codes, and solving a mystery, as well as cooking authentic regional dishes and singing or belting out national anthems. Swimsuits are required daily for campers in the H2O crew.

• Price: Cost is $170 a week for 9 am–4 pm; extended care AM (7:30 am–9 am) is $45 per week in advance or $10 per day drop-in; extended care PM (4–6 pm) is $45 per week in advance or $10 per day drop-in; the nonrefundable deposit is $60 plus a $7 processing fee, and refunds follow the stated 14-day cancellation policy
Camp Commotion provides a Camper Support Director who contacts families before the week a child attends to confirm necessary support for campers with special needs, and it offers a Camper Companion program. Camp Commotion is a program of Christ Community Church, whose mission is to make passionate disciples of Jesus Christ who are belonging, growing, serving, and reaching. Christ Community Church states that it is committed to putting churches in communities that need healthy, gospel-proclaiming churches and to helping plateaued or declining churches in the Chicagoland suburbs regain momentum and reach the next generation for Christ.
