About

Springfield Theatre Centre Youth Programs include the PAVE Arts and Theatre Summer Camp and the Active & Creative Teen Theatre program. Participants take part in musicals, plays, children’s shows, murder mysteries, trivia nights, and launch parties as part of the theatre activities offered through the organization.

The Springfield Theatre Guild incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1947. Its stated goal is to bring the community and the performing arts together, and it strives to provide Central Illinois with theatre, educational opportunities, and a creative outlet for live theatrical arts. The Springfield Theatre Centre is a community theater with programs for adults, youth, and children, and it offers the White Rabbit Family series. The organization draws its actors, stage technicians, volunteers, and audience from Springfield, Lincoln, Decatur, Jacksonville, and Taylorville, Illinois. It has a harassment policy stating that harassment, whether verbal, non-verbal, or physical, will not be tolerated in the Springfield Theatre Centre environment, and it has a policy that anyone working with children while participating in Springfield Theatre Centre events will refrain from any private social media contact with minors.
