Junior Tennis Programs offers a range of on-court activities, including stroke development, rally drills and games, volley drills, match play, situational drills, strategy, and shot placement. The program includes specific options such as USTA 10 & Under Tennis (also called QuickStart or Net Generation), Red Ball, Orange Ball, Green Ball, Beginner Youth, High School, Intermediate, Match Play Prep, High School Training, High Performance, and Elite. Sessions use age-appropriate equipment, including smaller courts, lower nets, and modified red, orange, and green balls, and also include tennis-specific training exercises, strength exercising drills, agility drills, point finishing drills, and rally lengthening drills.

• Schedule: Facility hours Monday–Thursday 5:30am–10pm, Friday 5:30am–9pm, Saturday 7am–6pm, Sunday 8am–6pm

High School Training, High Performance, and Elite programs require approval from the Junior Tennis Coordinator, with High School Training for high school junior varsity 2 and 3 players, High Performance for high school junior varsity 1 players, and Elite for high school varsity or UTR/WTN players playing competitively. The program leadership team includes Ande Masoncup, ACSM-HFI, CPRP, Assistant Superintendent of Recreation; Dan Charak, MAT, BS-K, NASM-CES, CNC, Racquet Sports & Wellness Supervisor; and Joe Paszkiet, Membership Services Supervisor. Staff credentials include certifications and degrees such as ACSM-HFI (American College of Sports Medicine – Health/Fitness Instructor), CPRP (Certified Parks & Recreation Professional), MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching), BS-K (Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology), and NASM-CES (National Academy of Sports Medicine – Corrective Exercise Specialist). The St. Charles Park District states that it takes pride in serving participants quickly and courteously with superior quality at a reasonable rate and supports fundraising events for community organizations.
