The mission of Tinley Park Bobcats Recreational Soccer is to provide coed recreational soccer that allows participants to have fun, learn the sport, and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game, without an emphasis on travel or high-level competition. Teams are assigned by a blind draft to eliminate stacking and to give all teams a fun experience, and requests for teammates are not guaranteed unless the players are siblings or from the same household. The program uses the Game Changer App for schedules and team communication and requires permission at registration for Bobcats to take and use images or videos of children in print or on Bobcats website or social media. All players must have shin guards, and players receive a uniform of jersey, shorts, and soccer socks with registration for spring and fall seasons. Bobcats states that it strives to improve programs and to explore the possibilities of developing new programs to benefit the children of Tinley Park.
The leadership team for 2025–2026 includes Steve Bosco as President, Patrick McCarthy as 1st Vice President, Patrick Coyne as Treasurer, Candi Johnson as Secretary/PR/Marketing, Troy Vander Wyst as Recreational Soccer Commissioner, and Steve Bosco as interim Travel Soccer Commissioner, along with commissioners for other Bobcats sports and program roles such as Head Team Mom and Concessions Coordinator.
