American Academy Gymnastics Wheeling offers Recreational Gymnastics, Tot Gymnastics, Tumbling Classes, Private Lessons, High School Gymnastics, Gymnastics Day Camps, and Gymnastics Summer Camps. It also offers Tots for children 3 years old and up, with Tot Camp offered only during the Half Day AM session.

About the provider
The program has been operating for over 30 years. It started as a small gym in Des Plaines in 1973 and later relocated to Wheeling in 1985. Its mission statement is Safety, Growth, Education, & Fun. Instructors are USA Gymnastics registered and certified by the U.S. Center for SafeSport. The program has developed several international gymnasts, including 1992 U.S. Olympian Chris Waller, and gymnasts have earned over $4 million in college scholarships. It also trains the Stevenson High School girls' team, which won four straight Illinois High School state championships.
The space is described as fun, safe, and engaging. Skill progressions use drills, repetition, and technique emphasis. Private Lesson bookings are scheduled as Appointments in the JackRabbit Parent Portal through Client Support Staff via the Front Desk. Private Lesson Clients are taken at the discretion of the Coach. Any Private Lessons not recorded/scheduled via the Parent Portal are not authorized. Gym fees are stated for private lessons.
