About

Wilmette Gymnastics offers gymnastics classes, open gym, gymnastics parties, adult/tots gymnastics, ninja minis, tumbling class, advanced girls’ gymnastics, team gymnastics, adult gymnastics, and private gymnastics lessons. Participants use equipment such as the floor exercise, trampoline, bars, rings, and balance beam, and take part in flexibility and stretching exercises, event training, conditioning exercises, and free play time on all Olympic gymnastics events. Open Gym includes free play time on all Olympic gymnastics events and the trampolines.

• Ages: 1–18 years old
• Schedule: Registration for Winter programs begins at 10 am on December 9 for residents and December 16 for non-residents; Beat The Heat Gymnastics runs 8/11–8/15; private one-hour lessons are offered Saturdays and Sundays at 1 and 2 p.m., and Mondays at 7 and 8 p.m.
• Price: Fee: $79 for one-hour private lesson.

The program takes place in a 10,000+ square foot, state-of-the-art gymnasium with an enlarged pit area and two in-ground trampolines. There is a padded and carpeted area for preschool children ages 2 to 6 years old, with equipment that is sized for them, and a glass-enclosed viewing area so parents and friends can see the children during class. Students are asked to wear tight-fitting clothing or leotards, siblings may not be on the floor during class, a pass is required to schedule a private lesson, and there is a 24-hour cancellation policy for all lessons.

Wilmette Gymnastics is managed by Gymnastics Manager Sara Emory. Girls’ Team coaches are Sara Emory, MaryAnn Oehlerking, Ubaldo Rodriguez, and Krisna Morales-Chew, and the Boys’ Team coach is Tamas Ferincz. Gymnastics instructors include Myriam Brito, Ella Comerci, Kathryn Dolan, Arpad Ferincz, Farkas Ferincz, Tamas Ferincz, Taite Fisher, Jackson Freeman, David Gillam, Sofia Henke, Angie Hersam, Ryan Huemmer, Laura Krohm, Shayna Leinberger, Natalie Malover, Caroline McCullough, Krisna Morales-Chew, Katie Mostofi, Jackie Moy, Larene O’Connell, Karen Ott, Elena Pauker, Kelly Purdy, Ryann Segall, Annabel Sturgis, and Meredith Tucek.

The Wilmette Park District states that its mission is to enrich the quality of community life by promoting wellbeing, providing parks and facilities, and offering programming for people of all ages and abilities. The Wilmette Park District describes its 10,000+ square foot gymnasium as one of the finest gymnastics facilities in Illinois and states that its team program has produced many state and national-level gymnasts over the years. The Wilmette Gymnastics Team competes in USA Gymnastics competitions across Illinois, and the USAG requires that its affiliates share access to specific online resources.
