Wonder Lake Youth Soccer Club offers co-ed recreational soccer league play that includes practices and games. Players take part in organized practices during the week and scheduled league games during the spring season.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Spring 2026 practices begin the first week in April, weather permitting, with U14 and U12 practicing twice a week for at least 90 and 75 minutes, U10 twice a week for at least 60 minutes, U8 once a week for at least 45 minutes, and U6 once a week for at least 30 minutes; games run from mid-April to mid-June, typically on Saturday mornings for U6 and U8 and on Saturday mornings or afternoons for U10, U12, and U14
• Price: Season fee is $60, and payment is required before a player receives their uniform
Wonder Lake Youth Soccer Club is led by President Kelly Kunz and Vice-President David Miller. It is a co-ed recreational league that offers play for age groups U6 through U14, with team structure based on a school year matrix beginning Fall 2025 as voted by Northwest Recreational Soccer League members. The club is a member of the Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) and participates in the Northwest Recreational Soccer League (NRSL), also referred to as the Northwest Suburban Recreational League, alongside fellow NRSL clubs such as Woodstock United and Northern United FC. Registration includes a game jersey, and the club also offers access to its own free smartphone app via Stack Team App.
For practices, players are expected to bring comfortable, weather-appropriate athletic clothing, socks, cleats, shin guards, a water bottle filled with water, and a soccer ball in the correct size for their age group (size 3 for U6–U8, size 4 for U10–U12, and size 5 for U14). For games, players use the provided game jersey, black shorts or pants, soccer socks that cover shin guards, soccer shoes with plastic soccer-style cleats (no metal cleats and no baseball or softball cleats), a properly sized soccer ball, and a water bottle, with the option to wear long-sleeved shirts under the jersey as long as hoods are tucked in.
