Summer Musical Theatre Workshop is a week-long workshop for students entering grades 6-12. It includes a placement audition, and no experience is necessary. The workshop runs July 20-24, 2026, from 9:00 am-3:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 12:00 pm-8:00 pm on Friday. Tuition is $250 per participant, with a $100 non-refundable deposit due at registration and the balance due by June 15, 2026.

About the provider
Theatre 121 says it has brought live theatre to McHenry County since 1967. It says TownSquare Players, Inc. and Woodstock Musical Theatre Company merged in 2019 to create Theatre 121. Theatre 121 says it is an inclusive theatre company for the McHenry County area, providing education, connections, and community through excellence in the arts.
Registration is now open; the program fills up fast and recommends early registration. Tuition is $250 per participant, $100 for an additional child/children in the same household, and a $100 non-refundable deposit is due with registration. The balance is due by June 15, 2026. Tickets for the student showcase are sold through the Woodstock Opera House Box Office for $10.
