About
Hoops 4 Hunger Basketball Camp teaches the fundamentals of the game with instruction from some of the finest high school and college coaches in the game today. The camp includes a special speed and agility station, and each camper is asked to bring at least one food item on the day of the camp.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: One-day camp on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with separate two-hour sessions for campers entering grades K–6 and grades 7–12
• Price: Cost is $20 cash, payable in the main office during the school year, during the week of Hustle or Mustang Camps in the summer, or on the day of Hoops 4 Hunger.
Hoops 4 Hunger Basketball Camp features guest speakers and fantastic guest speakers, extended time this year compared to past years for the same fee, and a special speed and agility station led by Schutt Sports Performance. Every camper receives a Hoops 4 Hunger camp t-shirt and a regulation sized basketball. The camp offers incredible giveaways and prizes, including autographed NBA, NFL, NCAA, and MLB jerseys and other items such as game tickets and autographs, along with other prizes, and incredible prizes for campers who bring in additional food items. All proceeds from the camp go to help local food pantries, and the camp is described as a chance to really help the community by donating food items to a great cause, with community service activities teaching students to serve God by impacting the community. This is a nonprofit camp, so refunds will not be issued.
The camp is connected with Yorkville Christian School, which has Principal Fred Versluys in its leadership.
