The School Breaks Program includes social circle time, exercise, arts and crafts, academic skills, hygiene skills, vocational skills, safety programming, playing games, completing puzzles with peers, and group activities that encourage teamwork. The program offers individualized programming for each child at 1:1 and 4:1 ratios and follows a daily schedule with a wide variety of curriculum. It also includes community outings to work on individualized goals in real world situations.
• Schedule: Provides services during Winter and Summer School breaks, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Price: Funding is available through the FS and CIH waivers in Indiana (Service codes: DHI, DHGS); private pay rates are also available.
Meaningful Day Services, which runs the School Breaks Program, is an Indiana-based company that provides therapies and adult day supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and offers therapeutic services statewide in Indiana.
