About

The Indianapolis Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Kids Program is part of a kids Jiu-Jitsu program that teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a structured setting. The program is offered alongside group Jiu-Jitsu classes for kids and adults, private lessons, and Women's Self Defense seminars and private lessons. Instruction in the kids program is rooted in Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and welcomes both beginners and experienced students.

• Ages: 5–18 years old

Indianapolis Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is led by owner Professor Greg Eldred, a 5th degree Black Belt with over 36 years of experience in Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The academy states that it is Indy's first and oldest operating Jiu-Jitsu academy and that it serves the greater Indianapolis area. The mission of the program is to offer structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training for adults, kids, and women focused on real world self-defense and long term skill development. The program focuses on preparing students for street or self defense situations rather than only sport or tournament competitions and does not make sport competition mandatory or push students into it. The academy reports having highly trained and qualified instructors, including four Black Belts, and describes its training environment as professional and high quality. It states that students learn in a safe and non threatening environment and that Jiu-Jitsu promotes good health, athleticism, self control, and discipline. The program also describes Jiu-Jitsu as a way of life that is about respecting others, growing relationships, and taking care of one another and families.
