Central Avenue KinderCare offers toddler daycare, discovery preschool, preschool, prekindergarten, and before- and after-school programs. The center has classrooms described as safe and healthy, where children are engaged in learning experiences that meet them where they are socially and academically. The program also uses a beautiful back yard where children can explore and grow to their full potential.

• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Center Director Stacy Gant leads Central Avenue KinderCare and has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Child Development Associate (CDA) in Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool. She has been with KinderCare since March 2007 and became Center Director at the Columbus KinderCare location in January 2012. Her stated goal is to make the center feel like a home away from home for the children, and she is dedicated to building a strong relationship with each family that is built on trust and support.
The program’s mission states that staff work every day to help children develop confidence for life and to build a warm, welcoming, and supportive classroom for children of all abilities, backgrounds, and experiences. The center is accredited by NAEYC. Central Avenue KinderCare is a contracted provider with On My Way Pre-K and is now enrolling for spring and summer 2026. The program offers both full- and part-time care, and elementary schools that bus to the center include Parkside Elementary School, Lillian Schmidtt Elementary School, WD Richards Elementary School, Frances Smith Elementary School, Columbus Signature Academy–Lincoln Campus, Columbus Signature Academy–Fodrea Campus, St Bartholomew Catholic School, and St Peters Lutheran School.
