About

Columbus Parks and Recreation Gymnastics Programs are part of the broader Columbus Parks and Recreation offerings, which are supported by administrative offices, aquatic facilities, community centers, golf courses, and other park operations. The programs are connected to the Columbus Gymnastics Center and are included in seasonal resources such as the 2026 Spring/Summer Fun Guide and department Annual Reports and Master Plans, which are available as downloadable PDFs. Participants in these programs receive updates about cancellations and closures through the Remind notification system and the Columbus Parks and Recreation Facebook page.

• Schedule: The Columbus Park Board meets the second Thursday of every month at 4:00 p.m., and related offices keep weekday daytime office hours, including the Columbus Gymnastics Center office, which is open Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Columbus Parks and Recreation Board’s mission is “To enrich lives” within the incorporated areas of the City of Columbus. The department and its board operate under the “Indiana Parks and Recreation Law” (IC 36-10-3) in accordance with City Ordinance, and the City of Columbus is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Columbus Parks and Recreation Board includes President Dave Bush, Vice President Brian Wilson, Secretary Miriam Portaluppi, and member Chaz Smith, with Frank Miller serving as City Council Liaison, and Mary K. Ferdon serving as Mayor. The Columbus Park Foundation and listed community partners are identified as supporting parks and recreation in the community. The Donner Center location is noted as closed except when used for special programs or events, and the Parks and Recreation administrative offices have moved to NexusPark.
