Foundation For Youth Aquatics (Swim Lessons) is part of the aquatics programs at Foundation For Youth that include swim lessons and water aerobics. The broader organization also offers activities such as basketball, volleyball, golf clinics, pickleball, open gym, afterschool programs, full day summer programs, tutoring, homework help, summer learning loss prevention, summer camps, outdoor adventures, retreats, field trips, team-building at a challenge course, hiking, archery, youth mentoring programs, leadership development, and youth voice advocacy.

Foundation For Youth (FFY) has been a dedicated community pillar for youth and families across Bartholomew County and beyond since 1928. Its mission is: “To Inspire and Enable Our Youth, Our Community.” FFY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that relies on community support, volunteers, and partnerships to sustain its programs and expand its outreach, and its programs reach thousands of children each year. Programs are grounded in four cornerstones: Commitment to Learning, Character and Leadership, Positive Identity, and Healthy Lifestyles. FFY offers aquatics programs that promote water safety, physical health, and confidence for all ages, and also offers a wide range of sports leagues, out of school activities, camps, prevention, and mentoring services.
FFY’s community involvement includes working with community members, coalitions, and partners to promote positive mental health and address substance abuse and misuse in Bartholomew County. FFY is the licensed Safe Place agency responsible for operating the Safe Place program in the community, and Safe Place is a national outreach and prevention program for youth in crisis. Big Brothers Big Sisters at FFY creates positive change through 1:1 and small group youth mentoring programs. Council for Youth Development is a cross-sector coalition that aligns efforts to advance a culture of positive youth development in Bartholomew County and utilizes the 40 Developmental Assets® and Developmental Relationships® training and resources. TBRI: Foundation For Hope is a trauma-informed framework used at FFY.
Foundation for Youth is designated a Platinum Level participant, demonstrating a commitment to transparency. The leadership team includes Janine Proto, Volunteer Resource Manager.
