North Star Montessori offers programs that include activities such as arts and crafts. The program takes place in beautiful indoor environments with extensions to the natural environment.
• Ages: 6 weeks–6 years old
North Star Montessori was founded in 2001. It was founded by teachers and parents interested in providing an authentic Montessori environment for children in Bartholomew County and surrounding areas. The program focuses on quality educational experiences based on the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori and blends Montessori methods with best practices in education. It offers strong infant, toddler, and kindergarten programs, as well as a summer program that incorporates arts and crafts.
North Star Montessori’s mission is to provide excellent education in an environment where children pursue developmentally appropriate and academically fulfilling learning, preparing them as stewards of the planet and leaders in the global economy. The programs are described as culture-rich, locally rooted, globally aware, environmentally responsible, and inclusive. North Star Montessori is a not for profit, 501(c)3 corporation and is guided by a Board of Trustees.
