Soccer Shots introduces children to soccer through age-appropriate soccer skills, songs, and fun games in a safe environment called Soccer Island. The program includes fundamental soccer principles such as using feet, dribbling, and learning basic rules of the game, as well as basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. Older participants also take part in fun games, team competitions, and competitive play.

Soccer Shots offers several program levels, including the MINI (Toddler) program, which introduces fundamental soccer principles through songs, fun games, and positive reinforcement. The CLASSIC (Preschool) sessions focus on basic soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting and highlight a positive character trait each session, such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation. The PREMIER (School-Age) program uses a curriculum for this age group that builds on skills and introduces competitive play.
Every Soccer Shots coach must complete a comprehensive training program to receive certification and is trained in the use of developmentally appropriate techniques. Coaches are routinely evaluated and participate in ongoing training. The program’s curriculum is expert-approved, aligns with early childhood education standards, and was created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches.
Soccer Shots was formed in 1997 by founding partners Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb, who were college and professional soccer teammates. In May 2009, Justin Bredeman, another former college soccer teammate, became the third partner. Soccer Shots began franchising in 2005 and opened its first four franchises in Ohio, Delaware, Florida, and Pennsylvania. From its beginnings, Soccer Shots has grown to over 300 territories across 43 states and 2 Canadian provinces and is offered in over 43 states and two provinces across the U.S. and Canada. There were over 560,000 enrollments in Soccer Shots programming in 2023. Soccer Shots Franchising, LLC is based in central Pennsylvania, just east of Harrisburg.
As the premier Children’s Soccer Experience, Soccer Shots states that its mission is to positively impact children’s lives. Through partnerships with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Nike, and other organizations, Soccer Shots aims to impact children and communities across the U.S. and the world.
