About
Soccer Shots introduces children to soccer through age-appropriate soccer skills, fundamental soccer principles such as using feet, dribbling, and the basic rules of the game. The program includes basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting, along with songs, fun games, and team competitions. Sessions take place in a safe environment called Soccer Island and incorporate competitive play as children advance.
• Ages: 1–3 years old
Soccer Shots offers programs for kids 18 months to 8 years old, with MINI (Toddler), CLASSIC (Preschool), and PREMIER (School-Age) program levels that use an expert-designed, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards. Each session highlights a positive character trait such as respect, teamwork, or appreciation, and the curriculum is created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches. Every Soccer Shots coach must complete a comprehensive training program to receive certification, is trained in developmentally appropriate techniques, is routinely evaluated, and participates in ongoing training, with the selection process evaluating both soccer coaching ability and the ability to engage and inspire children.
Soccer Shots was formed in 1997 and began franchising in 2005, opening its first four franchises in Ohio, Delaware, Florida, and Pennsylvania. Founding partners are Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb, and in May 2009, Justin Bredeman became the third Soccer Shots partner. Since its beginnings, Soccer Shots has grown to over 300 territories across 43 states and 2 Canadian provinces, with over 560,000 enrollments in Soccer Shots programming in 2023, and Soccer Shots Franchising, LLC is based in central Pennsylvania, just east of Harrisburg.

Parents describe their experiences with Soccer Shots in several ways. Nicole from Kalamazoo, MI, shared that her daughter moved from holding her hand to running to her coach on Soccer Island and mentioned that her daughter is learning soccer skills, taking turns, independence, and how to cheer for others. Tony from Phoenix, AZ, said their instructor was great and that their family signed up for the summer season. Brittany from Dallas, Texas, reported seeing growth in her daughter over the months she has been with Soccer Shots, and Sarah from San Diego, CA, noted that after doing a different program, her family appreciated how organized Soccer Shots was and how well the coaches kept the kids engaged.
