Youth Sports Camps and Leagues includes a youth baseball league with T-ball, Jr Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch, Minor, Major, and Senior baseball divisions, as well as youth basketball camps, youth fencing, and a youth flag football league. The program also offers The National Basketball Academy Basketball Camp and the IUC Prospect basketball camp, along with youth fencing sessions and a 2026 Spring Youth Flag Football League.

The mission of the Youth Baseball League is to ensure that each participant registered for the program has a safe, fun, and enriching experience with baseball. The Board’s mission is “To enrich lives” within the department’s planning area, which consists of the incorporated areas of the City of Columbus. The National Basketball Academy Basketball Camp serves ages 7–15 and runs June 22–June 26 from 9:30am–2:30pm, with March 20–May 14 registration, regular registration from May 15–June 26 at $260, and late registration at $265; it is listed at $250 and groups campers by age and skill level whenever possible, with daily competitions and team placement. The IUC Prospect Camp serves ages 15–19 on June 10–11 from 9am–3pm, with registration from April 6–June 5 at 5:00pm and a fee of $195, and includes evaluation by IUC coaching staff. Youth fencing is offered in 3-week sessions in November and December and 4-week sessions from January through April, with separate class times for ages 7–11 and ages 12+, and equipment rental available for $20 during the class.

The 2026 Spring Youth Baseball League has registration from December 15–February 27 at 5 p.m., a refund deadline of February 20 at 5 p.m., and an early discount deadline of February 13, with a $10 savings for registering by that date. Youth Baseball division placement is determined by the child’s age on 4/30/26, and all children must be 4 years of age by 4/30/26. T-Ball and Jr Coach Pitch games are on Saturday mornings, while Machine Pitch, Minor, Major, and Senior games are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with games beginning during the month of May. Fees are $66 for T-Ball and Jr Coach Pitch, $68 for Machine Pitch, $76 for Minor and Major, and $91 for Senior. Columbus Parks and Rec uses the Remind notification system and Facebook to alert participants of cancellations and closures due to weather, and the Remind code he6d3d is used for 2026 Youth Baseball reminders.

The 2026 Spring Youth Flag Football League serves ages 5–13 from May 23–June 27, with a season of six games played on Saturday mornings and a single elimination tournament at the conclusion of the regular season for the U11 and U14 divisions. Registration runs from March 2–April 17 at 5 p.m., with a refund deadline of April 10 at 5 p.m. and an early discount deadline of April 3 to save $10 off the $75 fee.

Cincinnati Reds Winter Camps are described as one of the finest youth camp programs in the country and are in their 4th year, with 14 years of Reds youth camp programs overall, and use a progressive curriculum that targets pitching, hitting, fielding, or catching. Youth Fencing sessions are offered in partnership with Salle de Lutins Fencing Club and provide instruction on form, technique, and how to properly engage in a bout. Cincinnati Reds Winter Camps represent a partnership for youth baseball camps, and the Columbus Park Foundation supports parks, with additional organizations referenced as “Community Partners.”

Sports leadership for these programs includes Sports Programs Manager Seth Rice and Sports Coordinator Collin Lollar. Division managers for youth baseball include Jr. Coach Pitch Division Manager Ross Thomas, Machine Pitch Division Manager Brett Boezeman, and Minor and Major Division Manager Derick Olson. The Columbus Parks and Recreation Board includes President Dave Bush, Vice President Brian Wilson, Secretary Miriam Portaluppi, and member Chaz Smith, with Frank Miller serving as City Council Liaison.
