Pilsung ATA Martial Arts has been serving the community since 2003. From the very beginning the program has been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time through martial arts, education and coaching. The curriculum used in the school has been designed by the best in the industry, and the staff are trained and certified to exacting standards.

The leadership team includes Master Myers, Owner and Master Instructor; Brian Myers, Co-Owner, Senior Instructor, and Business Manager; David Sears, Certified Instructor; and instructor trainees William Corn and Tristan Davis. Master Myers is a Master Instructor and 6th Degree Black Belt. Brian Myers is a 5th Degree Black Belt whose specialties include anger management counseling, weapons use, advanced self defense tactics and bully prevention. David Sears is a 2nd Degree Black Belt, William Corn is a 2nd Degree Black Belt, and Tristan Davis is a 1st Degree Black Belt. Master Myers began the instructor certification process in 2000 and certified as an instructor in 2003, and Brian Myers was originally certified in 2009.

ATA Tigers is the youngest group in the Kids Martial Arts programs and is described as the perfect blend of gross motor skill building and fun. The preschool age program focuses on gross motor, personal development and character enrichment, and the kids program is described as a blend of self defense, personal development and character enrichment. Teen & Adult Martial Arts focuses on fitness and self defense. The program emphasizes life and leadership skills in addition to martial arts training and offers coaching for all ages through children’s and adult martial arts classes. They state that martial arts classes can be for everyone, regardless of age, gender or experience levels, and that students do not need to be fit or coordinated to start classes. They describe their approach as realistic and practical training and encourage parents to watch their children’s lessons and to join adult classes. Yoga with Master Myers is offered to improve mobility, health, athleticism, and reduce pain. Everything they do revolves around the concept of “family,” with a goal to welcome students into their extended family, and they describe their training as safe, fun, and state of the art.

The program notes that they are big on giving back to the community and local schools. Brian Myers routinely visits local schools as a bully prevention expert, leadership coach and substitute teacher. Testimonials describe the leadership and structure of the classes as keeping one child focused and determined to succeed each session, and describe the staff as great and the training as “more than just punches and kicks” and “stuff that will help you in life.” Other feedback notes that instructors take time to answer questions and help when anyone has problems, and that the program is very passionate about helping others with self defense and living a healthy lifestyle, as well as giving back to the community and local schools.

Families are advised to wear comfortable clothes suitable for sports and to bring a water bottle to classes. All Introductory Programs are described as providing 2 weeks of incredible classes along with the 1-on-1 Family Meeting.
