About
Blade Family Martial Arts Academy offers Karate, Tae Kwon Do, an Okinawan Kobudo (Weapons) program, a Women Only Self Defense class, Kids Night Out events, and private lessons. The Okinawan Kobudo program includes training with six traditional Okinawan weapons: Bo, Sai, Tonfa, Nunchaku, Eiku, and Kama, with specific katas taught for each weapon. For each weapon, students learn manipulation, body conditioning, free exercise, theory, and self defense, and receive a small weapons patch for certification, with a detailed multi-level kanji patch structure leading up to a “Kobudo Black belt” or 1st Level kanji patch after all six weapons are certified.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
