Child / Family Programs include crafts, games, dinner, physical activities, and movie nights, as well as Parents’ Night Out/Kid’s Night Out with engaging themes, tasty snacks, and age-appropriate activities. The programs also offer Parents’ day out events and celebrations for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Children and families can take part in activities such as tumbling, gymnastics, dance, cheer, martial arts, track and field, soccer, futsal, baseball, youth basketball, sport-specific skills clinics, youth recreational swim team, competitive swimming, triathlon training, fit float, water fitness classes, and swim lessons, along with adult sports leagues and recreational activities.
• Schedule: Age-appropriate child care services are available for two hours each day while members participate in a YMCA program or activity on site, and programming is also provided on school holiday breaks and during weather delays.
Before- and after-school programs in Child / Family Programs serve kindergarten through middle schoolers in a secure and safe environment at the child’s school, with curriculum that teaches confidence, encourages self-expression, and enriches areas of social development. Drop-off child care is offered in Play and Learn centers while adults go shopping, have lunch with friends, or get a haircut. Preschool options include half-day and full-day programs with a goal to instill kindergarten readiness, and preschool activities allow children to explore, make discoveries, and develop intellectually, physically, and socially.
