About

Indianapolis Music Academy offers private music lessons for guitar, drums, piano, violin, voice, ukulele, and electric bass. Students take one-on-one lessons with instructors in dedicated lesson studios that are fully equipped with the instruments and materials needed. The program also includes recitals and concerts for students.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Month-to-month private lessons with office hours and lesson times available Monday–Friday in the afternoon and evening, and on weekends during the day

The academy has a teaching staff of over 20 highly qualified professionals, including professional musicians and educators with university training, professional performance experience, and many with over 20 years on stage and in the studio. Every instructor is carefully vetted and has extensive training, degrees, and real-world performance experience. The mission of Indianapolis Music Academy is to offer fun and easy, step-by-step lessons for all ages that go at each student’s pace.

Lesson rooms are stocked with all the instruments and materials needed, and if a student does not have a ukulele or guitar for the first lesson, the academy will provide one. The facility includes a family-friendly waiting room that is clean, spacious, and equipped with free Wi‑Fi, with over 1,000 square feet of studio space. The academy is open six days a week and is 100% dedicated to music education rather than retail.

Indianapolis Music Academy teaches students of every age and skill level, with one-on-one lessons for ages 5 to adult, and about half of the students are adults who are either beginning an instrument for the first time or learning new skills. The program offers an Exclusive Achievement & Rewards Program where students earn certificates, colored wristbands for each new level, and trophies for major milestones. Students have twice-yearly recitals, free photo days each year, plenty of performance opportunities, free recitals and concerts open to family and friends, no charge for recital and concert participation, and red carpet photo opportunities at events. The academy offers no long-term contracts and provides a refund of any unused lessons if a family is not completely satisfied after the first month.

Families across Indianapolis and Greenwood use Indianapolis Music Academy for music instruction, and the academy describes its lessons as top-rated in these areas and as the number one choice for music lessons in Indianapolis. Parent and student feedback includes comments about patient teachers, positive rapport with instructors, and steady improvement in instruments such as guitar, piano, violin, bass, and drums.
