Youth Basketball is part of the youth basketball offerings at Hawthorne Community Center. The program is included within a broader set of youth programs that also feature child care, preschool, before and after school care, and school breaks and summer day camp.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Youth programs operate between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Hawthorne Community Center has been an integral part of Indianapolis’ westside community since 1923. Its mission is to enhance the quality of life and empower the Hawthorne Community by investing in multi-generational and holistic opportunities to build autonomy, inspire growth, and create joy. Hawthorne Community Center is a United Way Agency, and its community engagement programs focus on health, safety, housing, economic development, civic engagement, and education within its defined Near West service area. The center is described as a safe haven for surrounding communities, and it maintains locked facilities during program hours while allowing community members and clients to connect with staff and access facilities by using the Airphone System.
