Mooresville Family Aquatic Center Swim Lessons are part of the programs and special events offered at the Mooresville Family Aquatic Center. The center includes swim lessons along with other programs and special events during the pool season. All patrons 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
• Schedule: Soft Opening May 16–17, Regular Season May 23–August 2; the splash pad is free from August 3 through Labor Day; private pool rentals run for two hours from 6:30pm–8:30pm on designated Saturdays and Sundays during the pool season
• Price: All-day shelter rentals cost $80.00 for Brown Township residents and $135.00 for non-residents; Oak Room rentals (4-hour minimum) cost $50.00 per hour for Brown Township residents and $75.00 per hour for non-residents; private pool rentals for two hours from 6:30pm–8:30pm cost $430 for the main pool and $620 for the entire aquatic center for Brown Township residents, and $480 for the main pool and $705 for the entire aquatic center for non-residents
Mooresville Parks has served its communities’ youth for over 30 years. The Mooresville Park & Recreation District park system includes Bicentennial Park, North Park, Old Town Park, Pioneer Park, and Rooker Run. The Mooresville Family Aquatic Center offers a splash pad that is free from August 3 through Labor Day, and pool rentals are available starting March 2 at 8 am.
The Mooresville Park and Recreation District states that its vision is to be the preferred destination for community recreation and wellness and that its mission is to provide quality parks and programs that enhance the well-being of all. It lists its values as Inclusion, Creativity, Growth, and Innovation, and notes that staff work together as a team to benefit the community. The leadership team includes Superintendent Philip Cornelius, Assistant Superintendent Keelan Simpson, Maintenance Supervisor Morgan Wilkens, Office Manager Stacy Freeman, Recreation & Camp Coordinator Talesha Freidenfelt, and Maintenance Technician Dan Luedeman.
Mooresville Parks has partnered with other community organizations to expand services to year-round offerings, and there are volunteer opportunities to support its mission.
