Teachers complete over 30 hours of training before they teach a class, including child development, safety protocols, and real in-water scenarios. Emler Swim School uses its SwimSure™ 11-level curriculum, which is built on more than 100 developmental milestones and includes a dual-safety foundation that teaches Jump-Turn-Swim and Roll-to-Backfloat across all levels, along with a SwimSure™ Safety Pledge at the start of every class. The program maintains low student-to-teacher ratios, often 4:1, with some toddler and Bathtime Babies classes at 6:1 or 10:1, and offers 12 free make-up lessons per year, free trial lessons, and sibling and multi-class discounts and weekday discounts at select times. Emler Swim School reports a history of 50 years of swim instruction, over 100 million lessons taught, and a nationwide network of more than 35 Emler Swim Schools and 14 partner swim schools, and cites over 15,000–16,000 five-star parent reviews. Olympic medalist Amanda Beard is referenced as a champion who trusts the schools, and the SwimSure™ curriculum is described as the gold standard in learn-to-swim education. Emler Swim School states that its mission is “to make every child feel safe, confident, strong and loved in our pools” and notes community involvement with organizations such as Every Child a Swimmer, Miss Tristan Foundation, Hope Floats Foundation, Safe Kids Worldwide, Kinetic Kids, Colin’s Hope, and Central Texas Water Safety Coalition.
