About
Plainfield Junior Basketball League offers basketball for students in grades K-12. It includes Kindergarten, 1st/2nd Grade, 3rd/4th Grade, 5th/6th Grade, 7th/8th Grade, and High School divisions.
Programs
- Kindergarten — Kindergarten · Once a week on Sundays; sessions are either 2:30pm-3:30pm or 3:30pm-4:30pm; runs from November 15 to February 28, with breaks for Thanksgiving and winter holidays · $110 · Teams will be randomly drafted.
- 1st/2nd Grade — 1st/2nd Grade · Practices once a week on Mondays/Tuesdays from 6pm-7pm or 7pm-8pm beginning November 9, with breaks for Thanksgiving and winter holidays; games begin December 5 and run Saturdays from 8am to 12pm · $125
- 3rd/4th Grade — 3rd/4th Grade · Practices once a week on Mondays/Tuesdays from 6pm-7pm or 7pm-8pm beginning November 9, with breaks for Thanksgiving and winter holidays; games begin December 5 and run Saturdays from 9am to 2pm · $160
- 5th/6th Grade — 5th/6th Grade · Practices once a week on Wednesdays from 6pm-7pm or 7pm-8pm beginning November 9, with breaks for Thanksgiving and winter holidays; games begin December 5 and run Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm · $160
- 7th/8th Grade — 7th/8th Grade · Practices once a week on Thursdays from 6pm-7pm or 7pm-8pm beginning November 9, with breaks for Thanksgiving and winter holidays; games begin December 5 and run Saturdays from 4pm to 6pm · $160
- High School — High School · Games begin December 6 and run Sundays from 1pm to 5pm; games continue through winter break · $160

- General schedule: Evaluations for grades 1st-8th will be held November 2nd through 4th. Kindergarten and High School divisions will not have evaluations. A coaching meeting will be held November 5th at 6pm in Room 139 at the Richard A. Carlucci Center.
About the provider
The program is a long-standing program. Its mission is to provide a positive, recreational basketball experience for students in grades K-12 and to emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development in a supportive and enjoyable environment for players of all experience levels. Priority registration is available for Plainfield residents, students attending Plainfield Community Schools, and members of the Richard A. Carlucci Center.
ALL volunteers participating in coaching duties must be registered and have an active background check on file, regardless of how many games/practices they will be helping with. If interested in being a back-up coach or support for practices, reach out to receive volunteer registration information. If not interested in coaching, support is possible by scorekeeping on game days; no registration is required.
