Plainfield Junior Basketball League offers recreational basketball through a structured league format. The program includes specific activities such as recreational basketball games, player camps, and coaching clinics. • Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Season runs November through late February, with practices on Mondays–Thursdays and games on Saturdays and Sundays
The Plainfield Junior Basketball League is open to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade, with divisions organized as Kindergarten; 1st & 2nd Grades; 3rd & 4th Grades; 5th & 6th Grades; 7th & 8th Grades; and 9th–12th Grades. Each registered player receives a reversible Pacers jersey and matching shorts to keep, along with a Jr. Hoops Swag Bag that includes official Pacers gear. Participants have access to exclusive player camps and coaching clinics, subject to availability, and coaches, parents, and league participants can purchase discounted Indiana Pacers tickets throughout the season. The program’s mission states that it is designed to provide a positive, recreational basketball experience for students who attend Plainfield Community Schools or reside within the Town of Plainfield, with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development in a supportive and enjoyable environment for players of all experience levels. The Plainfield Parks & Recreation Department partners with the Indiana Pacers to provide participants with an enhanced league experience. The Town of Plainfield notes that Town Manager Andrew Klinger has been named the 2025 Ivan H. Brinegar Municipal Management Award winner by Accelerate Indiana Municipalities.
