Sylvan Learning of Columbus and Seymour Tutoring Programs at Jackson County Learning Center offers on-site and virtual tutoring in math, algebra, reading, writing, and study skills. The program also offers SAT test prep and ACT test prep, with support from certified teachers. Sylvan Learning of Columbus-Seymour provides targeted tutoring for K–12 and college level students, using interactive technology during sessions.

Jackson County Learning Center officially opened on August 4, 2010. The mission of the Jackson County Learning Center is to provide educational and workforce support services for community members and to foster an atmosphere of lifelong learning and career development. Sylvan Learning of Columbus-Seymour is one of several partners that offer tutoring and lifelong learning classes through the center, along with organizations such as Indiana University Columbus, Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, Vincennes University, Seymour Community School Corporation, McDowell Education Center, READ Jackson County, WorkOne Southeast, The Community Foundation of Jackson County, City of Seymour, Jackson County Industrial Development Corporation, Jackson County Chamber, Jackson County, Indiana, and Jackson County Education Coalition - Early Childhood Learning. The Jackson County Learning Center lists Amy Heideman as Director and Rhea Speckner as Administrative Assistant. The center also offers free test proctoring for online classes, computer labs for online class access and study sessions, and classroom and meeting room rental for business training and workshops.
