Hoop Dreams Basketball Programs offers skills training classes, Little Hoopers for 1st and 2nd grade boys and girls, youth basketball leagues, camps and clinics, after-school programming with Dream Care Learning Center, club basketball, girls skills training, and several class levels from Introductory through Intermediate II. The fall league includes player evaluation day, eight team practices, 10 games, and a single-elimination tournament.

  • Youth Basketball Leagues — Competitive and well-organized youth basketball league.
  • Camps and Clinics — Summer camps are 4-day experiences for players seeking development and improvement in all areas of their game.
  • After School Program — After-school program offered with Dream Care Learning Center.
  • Club Basketball — Highly competitive club basketball program for young players.
  • Girls Skills Training — girls · Every Thursday at 7:30 PM · Girls-only training classes.
  • Introductory — kindergarten to 3rd grade · Designed for youngest ballers with a nurturing environment.
  • Beginner — 3rd to 6th graders · Tailored for players in the vibrant age group of 3rd to 6th graders.
  • Intermediate — 6th to 9th-grade range · High-energy class tailored to the 6th to 9th-grade range.
  • Intermediate II — 9th grade and above · High-intensity class for players in 9th grade and above.
  • Fall League — Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays · Fall basketball league with player evaluation day, 8 team practices, 10 games, and a single-elimination tournament.

About the provider

Hoop Dreams was established in 2007 by Coach Mike Scott. The program says its purpose is to inspire and empower youth to reach for their dreams and achieve their full potential through basketball, with attention to player improvement, teamwork, strength and conditioning, friendships, character development, and sportsmanship. Coach Mike Scott played Division 1 basketball at Eastern Kentucky University and was an All-American Junior College player for Cecil Community College from 1999 to 2002. Beth Scott played an integral role in the creation, organization, and growth of Hoop Dreams.
