The Nest offers child care for children from birth to age five. It also offers family assistance with diapers, clothing, and hygiene supplies, parenting classes on nurturing parenting, nonviolent discipline, strengthening protective factors, and parental self-care, and individual counseling and legal advocacy in all languages for survivors of intimate partner violence.

- Child Care — birth to age five · Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM · State-licensed early learning center; offers short-term, long-term, and free drop-in care; sliding scale fees based on income.
- Family Assistance — families with children 0 to 5 · M-Wed, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM & 1:00 PM-3:00 PM · Provides essential items families need, including diapers, clothing, and hygiene supplies.
- Parenting — Classes focused on nurturing parenting, nonviolent discipline, strengthening protective factors, and parental self-care.
- Intimate Partner Violence — Provides individual counseling and legal advocacy in all languages for survivors of intimate partner violence.

About the provider
For nearly five decades, The Nest has served Lexington. It is a community nonprofit dedicated to supporting women, children, and families through essential services, advocacy, and care. Its mission is to help prevent the abuse and neglect of children and adults by supporting families in crisis through education, counseling, advocacy, and resources.
Services are free. The Nest serves caregivers and young children. It works with families navigating financial strain, lack of child care, and the need for safety and support. Multiple languages are available via phone interpretation. Families are welcomed with compassion and without judgment.
