Jefferson Memorial Forest Summer Day Camps

Jefferson Memorial Forest Summer Camps offers Adventure Camp, Wilderness Survival Camp, and Water Wonders. Adventure Camp includes archery, canoeing, hiking, and use of the forest’s new zipline. Wilderness Survival Camp includes map and compass use, building a shelter, starting a fire, finding water, and staying oriented in the wilderness. Water Wonders includes canoeing on a lake, time in a flowing creek, hiking through a forest to a winding stream, and water games.

Programs

• Adventure Camp — 7-12 · $180–$225 per week · Join us for a week of fun, growth, and exploration. Campers will get the opportunity to shoot archery, canoe, hike, and use the forest’s new zipline!
• Wilderness Survival Camp — 7-12 · $225 per week · Participants will learn map and compass use, building a shelter, starting a fire, finding water, and keeping from getting lost in the wilderness.
• Water Wonders — 7-12 · $225 per week · Campers explore a lake by canoe, play in a flowing creek, and hike through a forest to a winding stream. Water games are included.

Jefferson Memorial Forest Summer Camps runs week-long day camps in the summer, and year-round public programs are also offered. Campers are grouped according to age. Registration is available through Metro Parks’ class registration system, WebTrac, and can also be made by phone or in person during business hours. The facility hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:30am to 4:00pm.
