About
KidStrong offers weekly classes and camps that follow a science-based kids training program. Kids take part in fitness games, fun activities that promote balance, coordination, strength and agility, and puzzles, games, and mental challenges. Each week, kids join a 45-minute class in clean, modern centers.
• Ages: 0–11 years old
• Schedule: Each week, kids join a 45-minute class
KidStrong’s programming is specially designed by child development experts to improve kids’ emotional, mental and physical skills, and everything in the program is based on the Whole Child Philosophy with three pillars: Strong Character, Strong Body, Strong Mind. The program is parent-focused, and classes are described as developmentally appropriate, fun and challenging. All coaches are certified and professional, and coaches are described as specially trained, compassionate leaders.
KidStrong was founded in 2015 by Matt and Megin Sharp in Lexington, Kentucky, and they partnered with Lincoln Brown to turn the idea into a scalable business. The leadership team also includes Patti Eubanks, Preschool & Kindergarten Director; Patrick Ford, Doctor of Physical Therapy; and Dr. Julie Foucher, MD, Family Physician and 4-time CrossFit Games competitor. KidStrong has more than 160 locations serving more than 65,000 kids per week and operates a proven business model that has generated success for franchisees in markets across the US and Canada.
KidStrong Camp is described as a place where kids will gain lifelong friendships, learn new skills, build confidence, and create memories. KidStrong does not provide medical services, does not accept insurance, and states that it cannot guarantee that a child will learn how to fly.
Parent testimonials describe individual experiences with KidStrong. One parent from Rocklin, CA, reports that a daughter attends once a week and that they have seen her confidence “skyrocket.” A parent from Noblesville, Indiana, describes a son who was “super shy and anxious” at first and now is described as much more confident, and says they “recommend and downright BRAG about this program.” A parent from San Antonio, Texas, shares that a child with a speech delay was initially behind but was motivated by the environment and is now putting effort into learning “not just words but cooking, cleaning, you name it.”
