About
YWCA Cambridge Youth Leadership Programs include youth leadership programs that center girls of color and LGBTQ+ youth, teen clubs, and a martial arts program. The programs connect young people with a youth resource center, community dialogue groups to discuss race relations, and aquatics programming. Participants are part of a larger organization that also offers employment training, career navigation, job search support, paid internships, financial classes, and health access programs.

• Price: $10 helps stock residents’ bathrooms with menstrual hygiene products; $50 provides a Welcome Basket for a new resident at Tanner Residence and Renae's Place, the Family Shelter; $100 helps bring in virtual speakers to youth leadership programs; $250 lets YWCA Cambridge develop a marketing campaign to educate the community on issues surrounding racial justice, women's rights, and social justice.
YWCA Cambridge is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. YWCA Cambridge local programs and services have furthered the YWCA vision since 1914, and the organization was established in 1892. It provides direct services, empowerment programming, and advocacy to support marginalized individuals and families, especially women and girls of color, and provides affordable housing to single women and emergency shelter to families, including 103 individual units of single room occupancy housing for women.
YWCA Cambridge is the oldest and largest women’s movement providing services for women and their families in the community. Its leadership team includes Dana Bullister (Board Chair), Heidi Harris (Vice Chair), Maria “Caro” Ruiz (Treasurer), Tiffany Wong (Clerk), and directors Shelbi Brown, Yoon Cha, Tonia Hicks, Michele Scott, and Ayesha M. Wilson. YWCA Cambridge is a proud recipient of the 2020 Cummings Foundation Grant program and a proud member of BWWC.
