Summer at St. John’s offers campers activities such as team games, crafts, music, outdoor fun, and swim lessons. The program includes themed experiences like cowboy crafts, frontier games, pony rides, obstacle courses, teamwork challenges, creative missions, mechanical bull riding, enchanted crafts, pirate hunts, treasure maps, creative crafts, imaginative play, science experiments, galaxy-themed games, classic games, and friendly competitions. Campers also take part in music, dance, drama, patriotic games, patriotic crafts, patriotic activities, festive challenges, team competitions, color-themed games, Camp Chris Color Games, vibrant crafts, animal exploration, themed games, and team challenges.

• Price: Camp Chris, Eagles Sports Camps, and select Sport Specific Camps: $75 per week, per child (non-refundable deposit); Daytrippers, North East Anglers Fishing Camps, Mountain Biking Camps, and Moxie Dance Collective: $115 per week, per child (non-refundable deposit); All other Exploration Camps, and Free Throwz LLC programs: $95 per week, per child (non-refundable deposit); Session Options such as Lunch, Transportation, and Extended Day: $10 per option, per child (non-refundable deposit); Stay and Play options: $30 per option, per child (non-refundable deposit); Starting May 1, 2026, a $25 change fee per child will apply to all registration changes.
Summer at St. John’s offers a wide range of summer camps and programs for boys and girls ages 4 to 15, including day camps, sports, arts, academics, leadership, aquatics, and exploration camps. At the heart of every program are stated Community Values: Kindness (building empathy and positive relationships), Community (creating connection and belonging), Honesty (encouraging trust and integrity), and Respect (teaching care for oneself, others, and the environment). Camp Chris, part of Summer at St. John’s, has been a North Shore summer tradition since 1946 and is described as a North Shore tradition for over 70 years, with each week featuring a unique weekly theme and a camp-wide Camp Chris Color Games event where teams compete in friendly challenges. Camp Chris Senior Camp is described as blending leadership, adventure, and independence.
High quality swim programs are run in partnership with North Shore Swim Club, and aquatics coordinator Jeff Fiore brings 20 years of experience to teaching swimming. Top quality coaches fine-tune athletes’ physical, mental, and leadership skills utilizing state-of-the-art St. John’s Prep athletic and training facilities. Summer at St. John’s operates all summer programming under a camp license issued by the Town of Danvers, MA, and all summer programming is run under this camp license. Summer at St. John’s programs are run in partnership with North Shore Swim Club for aquatics programs.
All emergency contact forms, signed physicals, immunizations, and medical administration forms must be received before a camper attends a program or camp. Campers must upload a valid physical form dated within the last 18 months to CampBrain by May 1, 2026, including a dated physician’s signature and a note stating “Cleared to participate in activity” or similar, and all medical forms must be in English or translated by a medical translation service. All medications must be current, in original containers with visible prescription labels, and must be dropped off and picked up by a parent or guardian, either with the camp admin at drop-off on the first day or with a bus monitor along with a Medication Form and doctor’s order for those using camp transportation. For off-campus trips, campers needing daily medication create a plan with the Health Team and must bring a second, labeled container for medication. Campers prescribed life-saving medications such as epipens or inhalers must bring them to camp or they will not be allowed to stay, and any camper who requires an EpiPen must bring both EpiPens in the original box with the prescription label and an up-to-date Allergy Action Plan that includes a photo of the child.
Summer at St. John’s states that campers must upload a valid physical form dated within the last 18 months to CampBrain by May 1, 2026, and that campers prescribed life-saving medications must bring them to camp or they will not be allowed to stay. Summer at St. John’s reserves the right to dismiss a camper without refund if they endanger themselves or others, disrupt activities, violate camp conduct, or if important information is withheld during registration. Summer at St. John’s does not provide refunds or fee reductions for campers who miss all or part of a session for any reason, including illness or injury, including but not limited to COVID-19.
